A bit about Norwich Bystanders Cricket Club

The two Saturday teams compete in the Lucas Fettes Norfolk Cricket League, the 1st team in Division 1 and the 2nd team in division 4.
The Sunday team compete in the Burgess Shield Division 2 of the Mid Norfolk Sunday.
We’re a friendly bunch who enjoy the game, the banter and the social life.
All players are welcome, level of experience is unimportant if you’re keen!!

Club History

Formerly Norwich Union Cricket Club, Norwich Bystanders were formed at the end of 2009 following the withdrawal of support from Norwich Union/Aviva and the closure of the Pinebanks sports ground. Many players from NUCC also played for the Bystanders club on a Sunday and so a natural merger of the two clubs took place in time for the 2010 season.

The former incarnations of the club both existed for many years and enjoyed success in both league and cup competitions though were both on a downturn in fortunes before the merger.
